Advanced Care, Honest Guidance, Compassionate Support
Our Vision
Northwest Veterinary Oncology Services
Northwest Veterinary Oncology Services (NWVOS) was created to expand access to compassionate, honest, and expert cancer care for pets across the Pacific Northwest and beyond. As an independent, woman-owned specialty practice, NWVOS provides flexible oncology services that balance the most advanced treatment options with practical, supportive care tailored to each pet and family.
We believe that every pet and family deserves thoughtful guidance. For some, that means pursuing the latest oncology treatments led by Dr. Megan Breit, one of the region’s leading board-certified veterinary oncologists. For others, it may mean choosing palliative care or making end-of-life decisions with dignity and compassion. Dr. Breit works closely with each family to ensure that care plans reflect both the pet’s medical needs and the family’s goals and circumstances.
Access matters. NWVOS offers in-person specialty care at partner hospitals in Puyallup and Gig Harbor, Washington, as well as remote teleconsulting for families and general practice veterinarians across the Northwest and beyond. Dr. Breit also partners with Tier One Veterinary Medical Center in Alaska to expand oncology services in regions where specialty care has traditionally been limited.
Our work goes beyond direct patient care. NWVOS supports veterinarians through consultation, continuing education, CE events, and conferences. Dr. Breit is deeply committed to mentorship and to shaping a healthier, more sustainable future for veterinary medicine. Her initiatives emphasize positive workplaces, equitable career opportunities for professionals of all ages and genders, and a culture of mental wellness that allows veterinary teams to flourish. The time for a better veterinary world is here, and she is proud to be helping lead that change.
At NWVOS, our mission is simple: to combine expertise, honesty, and compassion in a way that truly serves pets, families, and the veterinary community.
